Central Scheduling Representative

JOB SUMMARY:
Scheduling patient appointments for multiple Physical and Occupational Therapy clinics. Accurately collecting all necessary patient demographic and insurance information and documenting directly into Patient's chart. Maintaining communications with both patients and clinical staff regarding scheduling issues. Scheduling requests are presented to the centralized scheduling area in a variety of avenues, which require completing multiple tasks simultaneously. Candidate will need to possess effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills, including handling difficult customers. Bi-lingual will be a plus, but is not required. Strong problem resolution, effective computer skills, strong typing as well as, experience prioritizing and organizing work in an environment.
Qualifications
Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience - 1-2 years' relevant experience with personal computers and frontline customer service. Ability to work both independently and as a team. Medical terminology will be extremely helpful. Understanding of various insurance plan requirements, government agencies, Medicare and Medicaid. Call Center experience in a Healthcare Industry is preferred.
Skills - Must demonstrate the ability to comfortably use a variety of software programs. High level of interpersonal communication skills required. (Customer Focus, Customer Service, Data Entry Skills, Manage incoming telephone lines, Listening, Verbal Communication, Building Relationships, People Skills, Interpersonal Savvy, Problem Solving, Multi-tasking)
Physical Requirements - This position requires little physical activity and is office-based. May be required to occasionally lift items such as supplies of up to 20 lbs. Requires frequent computer use. A professional ergonomic assessment of the workstation is available as requested, and will be provided at least once annually.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
